He is survived by: his wife Heidi Hinderer Filep; his children, Renee Filep of Radiant, Kristin Copenhaver (Dwayne) of Blacksburg and Erik Filep (Stephanie) of Troy; and his grandchildren, James and Autumn Copenhaver.
