He was predeceased by: his parents, Eck Cook Davis and Martha Lambert Davis; and his siblings, Sandy Davis, Ted Davis, Jimmy Davis, Harold Davis, Leatrice Trammel, Jean Shaw, Gayda Hoopes and Isabelle Stack.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Davis of Rustburg and Barry David Davis (Shannon) of Hurt; his siblings, Gary Davis of Evington and Dottie Irby (Wayne) of Altavista; and his grandchildren, Kirsti Vaughan, Ellie Vaughan, Madeline Hubbard and Sarah Franklin. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
