He was predeceased by: his wife Zella Payne Spring; his parents, Claude Spring and Irene Wenner Spring; and his siblings, Margaret Spring, Carlos and Kermit.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Spring Whipple (Warren) of Lovettsville and Larry D. Spring (Linda) of Clifton; his grandsons, Christopher, Bryan, Nicholas Spring, David and Timothy Whipple; and his great grandchildren, Lauren, Christopher, Jr., Blake, Olivia, Helena, Lyla Spring, Noelle and Gavin Whipple.
In place of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church for the "Fix-It Fund," 12942 Lutheran Church Road, Lovettsville, VA 20180.
