With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Sutphin Shomaker of Lovettsville, Virginia, who passed away on January 11, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joshua M. Sutphin and Cora L. Sutphin (Wright); and her husband R. Francis Shomaker. She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Fawley (David) of Louisa and BonnieSue Dunkley (Wayne) of Brunswick, MD; her grandchildren, Sara Diep (Tung), Lori Hernandez (Pedro), Frances, Tucker and Virginia Dunkley; and her great grandchildren, Payton, Reagan, Nathan and Trevor.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church (12942 Lutheran Church Rd, Lovettsville, VA 20180). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 12942 Lutheran Church Road, Lovettsville, VA 20180 in Ann's memory.
