He is survived by: his parent Iris Towles Cowherd of Gordonsville; his son Djuane Douglas of Fredericksburg; his sister Anita Hawkins (Andre) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Mariah Douglas, Nick Douglas and Gerard Cowherd; his daughter-in-law Shamanoda Cowherd; his brother-in-law Eugene Madison; and also, Sheila Nixon (Harrison) of Springfield and Karen Ray of Charlottesville.
