It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steward E. Hottinger Jr. of Louisa, Virginia, who passed away on February 26, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Steward Edward Hottinger, Sr. and Louise Nolting Dickinson Hottinger; his siblings, Martha Smith, Lester Hottinger and Clarence Hottinger; his granddaughter Lauren Coleman; his niece Martha Louise Czecky; and his friends, Don Vincent and Frances Vincent Merchant.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Butler Hottinger; his children, Howard Edward Hottinger (Michelle), Beverly Hottinger Coleman (Jeffrey Stockton) and Steward Dale Hottinger; his pet Butch; his grandchildren, Raleigh Coleman (Allison), Ashley Lucckese (Dan), Brady Coleman, Dabney Coleman, Howard Hottinger, Jr. (Amy) and Lindsey Hottinger; his great grandchildren, Hurley, Hattie, Lucy, Dorothy Lucckese, Paisley, Paxton Coleman, Harper, Emerie Hottinger, Michael Hagee and Kendall Gray; his sister-in-law Virginia "Jenny" Hottinger; his nephew Mark Hottinger (Nicolle); his niece Earley (James); his great-nephew Tyler Earley; and his close friends, Harvey Fleshman and Bob Merchant.
Burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. We will be following CDC COVID-19 recommendations, and the Governors mandates on face covering, social distancing, and occupancy.
