With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sallie Mae Childress Hart of Louisa, Virginia, who passed away on July 3, 2020 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William C. Hart, Sr. (Bill); her siblings, Martha Greene, France Jones and Richard Childress; and her children-in-law, John Samuel Sims and Cindy D. Hart.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly H. Sims of Mineral, Judith H. Dixon (Doug) of Bristol, Tennessee, William C. Hart, Jr. (Sharon) of Louisa and Joel G. Hart of Bumpass Virginia; her grandchildren, John Samuel Sims, Jr., William Clifton Sims (Kathy), Jennifer D. DeGaetano (Thomas), Kathryn D. Keith (Luke), William J. Hart Thomas G. (Nicole) and Leslie E. Mason (Melinda); her niece Barbara Greene; and her sister-in-law Becky H. (Harry Marker). She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; five great, great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John S. Sims, Jr., William Clifton Sims, William Joel Hart, Thomas G. Hart, Leslie E. Mason, Thomas Degaetano, and Luke Keith.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Louisa Baptist Church.
