He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl E. Lloyd and Nancy Hopkins Lloyd; and his siblings, William E. Lloyd (Bill), Charles Lloyd (Chuck) and Vicki Lynn Chandler.

He is survived by: his wife Pamela Miller Lloyd; his children, Steven Blankenship (Melissa), Jordon Lloyd (Lydia) and Melissa Lloyd; his grandchildren, Natalie, Timmy and Valerie Blankenship; his sisters, Carolyn Overstreet (Mike) and Nancy Lloyd; and his close friends, Bogie and Birdie. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to UVA Cancer Center.
