She is survived by: her children, Myrtle Hicks, Bonnie Proffitt, Karen Shiflett (Van), Debra Punturi and Marvin Hicks (Wendy); her adoptive son Dennis Collier; her sisters, Mildred Gibson (Edward) and Barbara Ramsey; her grandchildren, Christy Talley (Will), Brandy Poindexter, Jack Poindexter III, Dustin Sprouse, Michael Hicks, Jennifer Powell (Jamie), Rachel Crenshaw (Dalton), Courtney Hornsby (Cameron), David Sharpe, Ben Sharpe (Tameka), Devin Proffitt, Jeremy Davis, April Palmer, Roscell Clark (Jason), Brayden Shiflett and Addison Shiflett; and her great grandchildren, Will Talley, Madilynn Sprouse, Lucas Sprouse, Elisabeth Sprouse, Jayden Hicks, Hudson Hicks, Jamie Powell Jr., Madelyn Powell, Evan Powell, Aiden Crenshaw, Lane Crenshaw, Lettie Crenshaw, Sarah Sharpe, David Sharpe Jr., John Sharpe, Tan Sharpe Jr., Tanae Sharpe, Wyatt Proffitt, Waylon Proffitt, Devin Proffitt Jr., Ava Palmer and Ashlyn Palmer.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Preddy Funeral Home (301 S Main St, Gordonsville, VA 22942). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
