She was predeceased by: her parent Evelyn Carter Buck; her husband Claude Robert Dillon; and her siblings, Irnell Robertson, Nancy Spain, Shirley Cosner, Ada Freeman and Harold Carter.

She is survived by: her parent Aubrey H. Carter; her children, Edyth Kemp of Louisa and Claude R. Dillon Jr. (Bobby); her wife Becky Dillon of Charlottesville; her siblings, Patricia Bruce (George) of Gordonsville, Lindsay Carter of Spotsylvania and Charles Carter (Kelly); her grandchildren, Jennifer VanBuskirk, Allen Kemp, Lisa Kemp, Justin Dillon, Shelly Martin, Bryce Dillon, Scott Dillon, Jack Dillon and Sean Ferris; her great grandchildren, Nathan VanBuskirk, Zachary VanBuskirk, Elania VanBuskirk, Ayla Kemp and Beau Dillon; and also, Page of Louisa and Keith Dillon (Kay) of Ashburn.

The family is grateful for their devotion to her as she struggled with Alzheimer's in the last years of her life.
