He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Mae Baker and Walter H. Baker, Jr.; and his brother Walter H. Baker III (Sonny). He is survived by: his wife Debra F. Baker; his children, Kim Baker Askew (Mark), James R. Baker, Jr. (Tina), Eric M. Baker (Abby) and Amber Baker; his stepdaughters, Dina H. Berg (Bruce) and Jullian W. Cassovontti; his grandchildren, Ashley Seay (Adam), Jesssica Sharpe (Corey), Skip Hamilton, Morgan Berg, Austin Baker, Gideon Baker and Samantha Baker; his great grandchildren, Lauren Seay, Grayson Seay, Leigha Seay, Weston Sharpe and Cason Sharpe; his sisters, Rebecca Cavanaugh (John), Mary Ann Butler (Glynn) and Toot Ryder; and his nephew W. H. Baker.
