Blakey; his wife Laverne; his siblings, Shirley A. Hawkins, Deborah L. Turner, James A. Blakey and David M. Blakey; his brother-in-law Nathaniel Ragland Sr.; and his cousin Lee Jones. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, neighbors, and friends.
