It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emma Kmetz of Louisa, Virginia, born in Windber, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 29, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alex of Hungary and Mary Toth (Lorenz) of Hungary; her husband William D. Kmetz; her daughter Diane Kline (Kmetz); her siblings, Mary Kish, Margaret Buckshaw, Elizabeth Hart, Helen Lesko and Steve Toth; her children, William A. (Bridget) and Cynthia (Jesus G. Ramirez, Jr.) of Alexandria, VA; and her grandchildren, Erik W. Kmetz and Diana T. Kmetz of Winterville, NC.. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Because of Emma's passion for reading, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Emma to the Windber Public Library.
