He was predeceased by: his parent James L Payne. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Anne Payne; his children, Douglas W. Payne, Jr. and Sharon Wyant (Donnie); his stepdaughter Melissa Goggin (David); and his grandchildren, Adam, Pierce, Jacob and Meghan.

Graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. We will be following CDC COVID-19 guidelines and State of Virginia mandates.
