He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirby Lutz and Katie Evy Lutz; his wife Billie Jean Lutz; and his siblings, Douglas, Harold Lutz and Ethel Weaver.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Lutz and Lisa Marie Lutz. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
