He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Earl Ellis and Edith Elmyra Parlier Ellis; and his brother Frederick "Fred" Earl Ellis. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Ellis Filer (Tom) and Dixon Parlier Ellis, Jr. (Jessica); his grandchildren, Lauren (Lane Filer), Brenden, Owen (Sadie Ellis) and Dickie; and his friend Dr. Alexander A. Schult.
