He was predeceased by: his father Brown Lowe Taylor; his wife Betty L. Taylor; and his brothers, Glenn and Jerry Taylor. He is survived by: his mother Myrtle Ellen Taylor; his girlfriend Gwen Taylor; his mother-in-law Lottie Lucas; his children, Sheila Taylor, Melissa Chisholm, Betty Taylor, Sarabeth Taylor, Lisa Truslow (Mark) and David Roger Taylor Jr.; his brothers, Randle Taylor (Doris) and Benny Lee Taylor; his grandchildren, Daniel Fitzgerald, Melinda Taylor and Hailey Loeser; and his great grandchildren, Trinity Burns, Jayla Burns, Zachariah Burns and Carter Ray Fitzgerald.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel (301 S Main St, Gordonsville, VA 22942). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
