She was predeceased by: her grandmother Kathryn Winston; and her great-grandparents, Frances Palmese of Mineral, Lillie Colvin of Madison and Courtney. She is survived by: her parents, Wayland Winston, Jr. and Deborah Colvin Winston of Goochland; her brother Wayland Winston, III of Richmond; and her grandparents, Leland S. Colvin, Jr. of Gordonsville, Doris G. Holley (Harold Holley) of Hinton, WV and Wayland Winston, Sr. of Louisa.

She was greatly loved and will be forever missed. Due to the COVID-19 virus, funeral services for Courtney will be held at a later date.
