He is survived by: his close friend Stella Jean Day; his grandchildren, William Sweeney, Shawn Sweeney and Autumn Sweeney; and his siblings, Henry Sweeney (June), Cleve Sweeney, Frances Lester and Rosetta Fain. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
