He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Libbie Pearl and William "Oscar" Shiflett; his sisters, Elizabeth Sprouse and Eva Field; his daughter Bonni Brown; his wife Ann Leake Shiflett; his sons, T. D. Shiflett (Donna Shiflett) of Richmond and Stephen Shiflett (Kristen Shiflett) of Louisa; his grandchildren, Justin Shiflett, Brandon Shiflett, Connor Rupp and Deleya Brown; and his niece Paula Lee Spradlin. He was also cherished by great grandchildren.
