She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Jennings Amick, Sr. and Josie Vernelle Hester Amick; and her brother Albert Jennings Amick, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Alice Clore (Kenneth) of Gordonsville, Karen Hensley Griffen (Brian) of Powhatan and Laura Hensley Ellis (Marc) of Ferncliff; her grandchildren, Morgan Ann Clore, Scott Edward Clore, Claire Michelle Griffen and Benjamin Anthony Griffen; her siblings, Linda Amick Earhart of Henrico, Mary Amick Adams (Tony) of Fredericksburg, Donald Newman Amick (Frances) of Mechanicsville and Nancy Amick Lloyd (Billy) of Holly Grove; her sister-in-law Carolyn Waddy Amick of Spotsylvania; her stepmother Ruby Amick of Charlottesville; her aunt Edythe Hester Ulery of Charlottesville; and her cousin Cheryl Smith of Louisa. She is also survived by numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church (3092 Oakland Rd, Louisa, VA 23093).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Martha Jefferson Foundation Cancer Center where she received world class care from Dr. Andrew Romano and staff, Hospice of the Piedmont for their steadfast supportive care, or the Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA in honor of her grandcats and granddogs.
