It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Calvert Bean of Lottsburg, Virginia, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Calvert Bean and Grace Elizabeth Knott Bean; and his sisters, Mary Agnes "Aggie" Beining and Betty Elizabeth Pugh. He is survived by: his significant other Judy Bridgett Watling; his children, Robby Bean (Karen) and Pamela Sherwood (James); his grandchildren, Alex Bean, Anthony Bean (Maria Alvy) and Christy Tester (Cody); his great grandchildren, Evie and Willow; his significant other's children, Everett Bridgett (Diana) and Pamela Brightwell; his siblings, Margaret "Margie" Street, Charles Robert Bean, Dorothy Mae Proglin, Jean Brumley, Marion Sue Wawrzynski, Janice Faye Burch and James Larry Wise; and his sister-in-law Mary Jane Harty (Jake). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
