He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Bell and Ruby Thacker Bell; his son Matthew Bell; and his brothers, Tim Bell, William Bell and Joe Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Bell of Brookneal; his sons, Christopher Bell (Elena) of Brookneal and Mark Bell of Hurt; his stepchildren, Mary Saunders of Chase City, Eben Tuck and Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Austin Bell, Aryeanna Bell, Alexander Bell and Christina Sams; his siblings, Cathy Fincham, Sandy Bell, Thressa Bailey, Patsy Mitchell, Ginger Tweedy and Jerry Bell; and his brother-in-law Otey Kelly. He is also survived by numerous cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
