He is survived by: his mother Katherine Slayton Shortt; his wife Kathryn M. Shortt; his son Andrew Michael Shortt (Cassandra); his grandchildren, Avery, Cole and Asher; his son Matthew Wells Shortt (Bobbi Jo); his grandchildren, Liam and Halle; and his brother Bill Shortt.
