He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Layne and Daisy Boyd Layne. He is survived by: his daughters, Marcella Featherston of Halifax, VA and Erica Elam; his sisters, Earma Barbour of Gretna, VA, Cora Barbour (John) of Nathalie, VA and Ruby Hall (Curtis) of Long Island, VA; his sister-in-law Elma Lane of Gretna, VA; his grandchildren, KaNiece Featherston, Kelly Featherston, Jr., Aryona Elam, Takayla Elam and Del'Quan Terry; his great grandchildren, Caiden Hunt and Nylaya Pointer; his close friend Maggie Boone; and his nephew Chris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
