We bid farewell to Jeanne Marie Lyons in Long Island, Virginia, born in Queens, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 23, 2025 at the age of 75. Jeanne Marie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Kessel and Robert Kessel; and her siblings, Robert "Bobby" Kessel and Mary Glander. She is survived by: her sons, Brendan (Nadege), Gregory (Lisa) and Timothy (Kristina); and her grandchildren, Connor, Katie, Madison, Mackenzie, Nathan and Avery.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the 30th the Church of Saint Aidan's (505 Willis Ave, Williston Park, NY 11596). A reception was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the New Hyde Park (214 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park, NY 11040).
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations in Jeanne's memory to the Our Lady of Peace Employee Christmas Fund; 751 Hillsdale Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901, who lovingly cared for her after her Alzheimer's diagnosis, or to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
