We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2024, at the age of 95, Elise Vassar Wood of Long Island, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Ray Wood; her parents, Fred Starkey Vassar and Kathleen Oakes Vassar; her siblings, Rosalie V. Scott, Jean V. Wooldridge, Louise V. Allen and Fred S. Vassar, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, William Milton Wood, Alfred E. Wood and Ann Earley.
She is survived by: her brother George William Vassar of Concord; and her sister-in-law Lucille Wood of Victoria. She is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews.
