He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Riffe and Jean L. Riffe (Shrewsbury) of Locust Grove, Virginia.. He is survived by: his wife Robin C. (Littlefield); his children, Michelle J. (Michael F. Medeiros) and Christopher W. Riffe; his grandchildren, Madeleine G. Medeiros and Michael F. Medeiros, Jr.; and his brothers, Robert L. Riffe, Jr., Brian D. Riffe and Steven G. Riffe.
