With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Dunn Copeland of Locust Grove, Virginia, born in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia, who passed away on December 19, 2022 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stewart T Smallwood and Nannie V Smallwood; her former husband Charles Dunn of Manassas, VA; her daughter Denise Powers; and her son-in-law Michael Powers of Berthoud, CO..
She is survived by: her husband Mervyn Copeland; her children, Cindy Dadisman (Rick) of Rocky Mount, NC, Dale Dunn (Jan) of Locust Grove, VA and Faye Martina of Williamsburg, VA; and her stepdaughters, Ann Copeland of Las Vegas, NV and Lea Bishop (Scott) of Carmel, IN. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
