He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Balda and Mary Lou Balda. He is survived by: his fiancée Diane Muldowney; his children, Erin Balda of Fredericksburg and Dillon Balda (U. S. Army); his brothers, James Balda and Joseph Balda; and also, Sharon Balda and Jennifer Balda. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
