She was predeceased by: her father Freddie Hardnett; her husband Ernest Wendell Swain; and her sister Carolyn Hardnett Robinson. She is survived by: her daughter Candace E. Hardnett (Erika); her stepsons, Thomas O. Gray and Frederick D. Gray, III (Perry); her granddaughters, Maya Hardnett, Imanirose Gray, Mariah Majors and Mika Majors; and her brother-in-law Anthony Robinson. She is also survived by Godchildren, adopted children from the community, cousins, and other family and friends.
