She is survived by: her spouse Claude Robert Dean, Sr.; her son Michael Patterson (Cheryl) of Broadway; her granddaughter Mariah Patterson; and her siblings, Ronnie Kratzer of Linville and Sandra Kratzer McAvoy of Harrisonburg.
