He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wilmer and Stella Morris Payne. He is survived by: his spouse Malily Caroline Weaver; his children, Larry Payne (Brenda) of Harrisonburg, Terry Payne (Tina) of Mt. Solon and Carlene Frazier (Roger) of Elkton; his brother Warren "Buster" Payne of Harrisonburg; and his grandchildren, Greg Payne, Scott Payne, Tonya Payne Smith and Amanda Frazier.
