It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Malily Weaver Payne of Linville, Virginia, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Luther Sr. and Edna Malily Kohne Weaver; her husband Nelson Elwood Payne; her son Larry Payne; and her great grandchild Wesley Frazier.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Payne (Tina) of Mt. Solon and Carlene Frazier (Roger) of Elkton; her daughter-in-law Brenda Payne of Rockingham; her grandchildren, Greg Payne, Scott Payne, Tonya Smith and Amanda Frazier; and her sisters, Virginia "Dare" Morris (Billy), Betty Southerly and Bernice "Cook" Atkins. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
