He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Ball and Nettie Ball NewBerry; his wife Shelia Crawford Ball; his daughter Kelly Kerniece "Sissy" Kilburn; and his siblings, Vonald Ball, Dovie Crouse and JulaGay Ball.
He is survived by: his children, Kernos, Ball Jr. of Front Royal, John Curtis Dejon of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Tammy Huffman of Linden, Virginia; and his siblings, Sam Ball of Martinsburg, Shirley Owens of Culpeper and Velva Thompson of Charlotte. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
