It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Macon Miller Smith of Lexington, Virginia, who passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Radford Spencer Smith, Jr. and Edna Stephens Smith; and his brother Radford Spencer Smith III (Sonny). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Kent Smith; his son Marek Kent Smith (Lisa Beckstrom) of Durham, NC; and his siblings, Barbara Smith LeFew of Lynchburg, Lera Millner Davis of Lynchburg and Susan Smith Bullock (John Bullock) of Madison Heights. He is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.
