Elmes of Lexington, VA; his son Matt Elmes (Lani Hartshorn) of Richmond, VA; his grandsons, Marley Elmes of Lexington and Ethan Spencer of Richmond, VA; his sister Chris Schlatzer (Bob); his nephews, Karl, Kurt and Brant; his sister-in-law Beth Lawrence (Peter Buck); his niece Pam Moore; and his wife Dave.

David G Elmes passed away on June 4, 2018 at Wellspring Village in Staunton, VA from Alzheimer's related complications.
