She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Milton McDonald (Coty) and Bernice Marie Merchant McDonald; her son Mark Robert Barrett; and her daughter-in-law Christine O'Toole Barrett. She is survived by: her husband James Robert Barrett (Bob); her sons, James Lee Barrett (Mary King) of Huntsville and Brett McDonald Barrett of Sterling; her grandchildren, Robert Stephen Barrett of Arlington, Virginia. and Ryan Mark Barrett of Arlington, Virginia.; and her brothers, Elmer Milton McDonald (Florence) of Spring Hope and Thomas Merchant McDonald (Milee) of Middletown, Maryland.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg Monday (201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. James Episcopal Church (14 Cornwall St NW, Leesburg, VA 20176).
