She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Muncy and Maude Muncy; her husband James Simpson; and her siblings, Geneva Steadman, Betty Gregory, Patty Kelley, Barbara Moore, Ralph, Bill, Robert, Clifford, Paul Edward and David.
She is survived by: her son Barry Simpson of Leesburg; and her sister Peggy Shugars of Purcellville. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to St. James' Episcopal Church, 8 Cornwall Street NW.
