He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Franklin Ambers, Sr. and Myrtle Vernita Pollard Ambers. He is survived by: his wife Christine Marie Ambers; his sons, Barrington and Christopher Ambers; his granddaughter Kristina Vesprey (Rashad); and his siblings, Grace Anderson and Raymond Ambers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Mount Olive Baptist Church.
