He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Roman and Beatrice Roman; his wife Nanette; and his siblings, Maynard, Ronald and Janice.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff (Sharon) of Great Falls, VA, Marc (Rachel) of Annapolis, MD, Tracy (Cliff) of Washington, DC, Joelle (Alan) of Arlington, VA and Brady (Kendra) of Sterling, VA; and his grandchildren, Caitlin, Connor, Christopher, Ben, Audrey, Olivia, Kristina, Levi and Madilyn. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
