He is survived by: his parents, Frank Yoakum and Norie Rose Yoakum; his wife Gina Yoakum; his son Lucas; his in-laws, John and Karen Ferrara; his siblings, John Yoakum (Shannon), Jenelle Gordon (Willie), Jennifer Clarke (David) and Stephanie Hale (Jesse); and his siblings-in-law, Nicholas Ferrara (Regan) and Angela Ferrara. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, David requested donations be made to the organizations that supported him throughout his remaining years with colon cancer: Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University Hospital, Capital Caring, and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
