He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Harrison and Loutie Hedrick Smith; his brothers, Merlin Propst, Ernest Propst (Frances), Richard Propst and Lewis Smith; and his brother-in-law James Good.
He is survived by: his sisters, Bonnie Smith Good of Manassas, VA and Violet Smith Charles of Winchester, VA; his sister-in-law Rose Marie Smith of Red Creek, WV.; and his nieces and nephews, Susan Pritt (Mark), Carol Shirley (David), Jennifer Miles (Bobby), Cindy Shiflet (Jeff), Karen Smith, Sarah Pumphrey (Jeff), Gary Simmons (Cindy) and Wayne Simmons (Robin). He is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
