He is survived by : his children, LeeAnn Patrick of North Carolina, Sherry Patrick of North Carolina, Robert, Jr. of North Carolina and Christopher Patrick of North Carolina; his sister Pauline Salyers of Lebanon, VA.; his close friend Ina Lee Mullins; his daughters, Charlotte Blanton of Somerset and Loria Lucas of Somerset; and his grandsons, John Blanton III of Cumberland and Josh Blanton of Glasgow.

The family asks that masks be worn and to practice social distancing.
