With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Kitty Thomas Castle (Lebanon, Virginia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Edward Thomas and Mattie Lou Dorton Thomas; her husband A. D. Castle (Don); her siblings, William Thomas (Bill), Elizabeth Dorton, Jeanette Dorton (Jetsie), Ann Runion, Jane Wilson, Vivian Osborne and Dolly Thomas; and her nieces and nephews, James Dorton (Jim), Edd Dorton, Tony Runion, Malcolm Thomas, Randall Fletcher (Rooster), Robin Wilson and Pam Osborne.
She is survived by: her former husband Don Castle; her daughter Donna Castle of Johnson City, TN; her granddaughters, Tara Austin Burns (Matt) of Gate City, VA and Leah Austin; her great grandchildren, Jake Burns, Emma Burns and Parker Austin; her sister Betty Haynes (Sonny) of Bowling Green, KY; and her close friends, Becky Sword, Peggy Stillwell, Lorene Easterly, Hattie Artrip, Kelli Salyer, Dora Noel, Lexi Cole and Pam Yarber.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Russell Memorial Cemetery (154 Huckleberry Rd, Lebanon, VA 24266).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kitty's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
