He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Byrd and Dorothy Marie Keene Ball; his brother Billy; and his sister-in-law Ann Ball. He is survived by : his wife Norma Jean Honaker Ball; his sons, J. B. Ball (Kathy) of Dobson and Preston Ball (Crystal) of Lebanon, Virginia; his stepchildren, Brad Cook (Ashlee) of Lebanon and Tonya Todd (Price) of Conway; his grandchildren, Raymond Johnson, Cagney Osborne, Jessey Ball, Courtney Ball, Abigail Ball, Ella Todd, Alainna Todd, Jaxon Todd and Anna Kathryn Cook; his sister Judy Austin of Honaker, Virginia; his siblings-in-law, Barbara and Barry Walls of Myrtle Beach; and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Wallace, Dena Walters, Sarah Mullins, Angela Walls, Chris Austin and Brandon Walls.

Due to the recent surge of COVID in our area, the family has requested that a mask be worn by everyone in attendance.
