He was predeceased by: his wife Kate Price Reid; and his son James Butler "J. B.". He is survived by: his son Willie C. "Bill" Reid, Jr. (Jackie) of Blackstone; his daughter-in-law Patricia Reid of Powhatan; his grandchildren, Candice Egle (Darrell), Jason Reid (Alanna) and Jesse Reid; and his friend John Clay. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
