He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bassett Connell and Marion Elizabeth Edwards Connell; his wife Ella Mae Buckner Connell; and his son William C. "Carl" Connell, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Connell Clary (David) and Beverly Connell Washburn (Kent); his daughter-in-law Ann Connell; his grandchildren, Andrew Connell (Krystle), Lesley Nunn (Patrick), Laura Eddings (Chris), Collin Washburn, Chase Clary and Alex Clary (Hope); his great grandchildren, Drew Connell, Kelsey Carter, Ava Connell, Lawson Eddings, Emerson Eddings, Harper Nunn, Van Walker Nunn and Cody Clary; and his siblings, Loretta Allen and Clayden Connell (Pat). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
