She is survived by: her parents, Lucy Kaywood and John Simmons, Sr.; her close friend Charlie Wayne McMichael; her children, Daniel Whitby, Joyce Satterfield and Jesse Satterfield; her brothers, John Simmons (Barbara) and Bryan Kaywood; her niece Ahmari Baker; her former husband Leslie "Tubby" Whitby; and her close friends, Ronnie Lewis McMichael, Ray Charles McMichael, Mabeline McMichael Dotson and Latrice McMichael.
