He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Darden Wesson. He is survived by: his father Robert A. Wesson, Sr.; his wife Virginia Wray Wesson; his son-in-law Dwayne Hite; his granddaughter Leah Brooke Comly; his sister Geraldine Wells; his daughter Kimberly W. Hite; his grandchildren, Brittany Lucy, Meghan Comly (Justin), Jessica Hite, Brandon and Ethan Hite; his great grandchildren, Kailynn, Madelyn Lucy, Layla, Charlotte, Axel Comly, Kaycen and Kyland Hite; his siblings, Ronnie Wesson (Debby) and Nancy Hall (Sonny); his brothers-in-law, Winfred "Buddy" Wray and Alfred Wells; and his niece Rickelle Murray (Jamie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
